About
Sanpō Media sets out the truth of how technology lands in a place, then asks everyone involved what the wisest path forward is.
The name comes from sanpō-yoshi (三方よし), "good for three sides," the principle of Japan's Ōmi merchants: a deal is good only if it is good for the seller, the buyer, and society. Sanpō Media applies that test to technology. Each case history lays out the facts, gives every side its fair hearing, and ends on the same question: what is the wisest path forward, the one good for all three sides? It is offered as an invitation, not a verdict.
Who's behind it. MargaretAnne Saizan is a convener. After Hurricane Katrina she sat across the table from survivors, activists, and government officials alike, and her practice since has stayed the same: hear every voice, set out the truth, and ask what the wisest path forward is. She is pro-technology and writes character bibles for AI. Sanpō Media is where she asks what a deal good for all three sides would look like, and invites everyone to take it.
